‘Les Miserables’ opens Oct 10

The Pier One Theater season ends with a showing of “Les Miserables” starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Mariner Theatre. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the book and original lyrics were written by Alain Boubil with music by Claude-Michel Schonberg. Set in 19th century France, it tells a story of love and betrayal, deceit and daring, and revolution. Additional performances are at 7 p.m. Oct. 11, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19, and at 3 p.m. Oct. 12 and 19. Ticket prices are $18 general admission, $16 seniors, $15 Raven’s Club member, $10 Youth (under 21), $60 family (two adults with children) and $10 special nights Sunday, Oct. 12, and  Thursday, Oct. 16. Tickets are available at the Homer Bookstore, River City Books, Soldotna, and Cover to Cover.
