Feb. 16
A caller at 12:13 a.m. reported a driver in a car revving the engine near a Pennock Street home. Police responded.
A woman at 12:15 a.m. made a 911 call that she received harassing text messages.
A man at 8:45 a.m. reported a moose with a broken leg on Pioneer Avenue near Main Street. Police responded.
A woman at 3:27 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member at a Main Street address. Police determined the relative was OK.
A caller at 3:30 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member at a Homer Spit address. Police determined the relative was OK.
A caller at 4:59 p.m. reported two men vandalizing property on Woodside Avenue. The suspects left on foot and police could not find them.
A caller at 9:17 p.m. reported suspicious activity at a Pioneer Avenue address.
A caller at 10:30 p.m. reported a hit-and-run at a Pioneer Avenue business.
Feb. 17
A caller at 1:01 a.m. reported a possible domestic dispute on Landings Street and Lakeshore Drive. Police responded and arrested a 19-year-old man for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He and a 17-year-old girl were issued summonses for minor consuming alcohol.
A person at 4:16 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute on Lupine Court. Police responded.
A woman at 6:57 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on an elderly family member at a Bunnell Avenue address. The person was OK.
Police at 7:37 p.m. contacted a man walking in the roadway on Pioneer Avenue. Police provided the man with ice cleats so he could walk safely on the sidewalk.
Feb. 18
Police at 12:52 a.m. helped Alaska State Troopers at a driving under the influence investigation on the Sterling Highway near Diamond Ridge Road. Police provided transportation home for a passenger.
A woman at 9:46 a.m. reported a moose bedded down in front of the doorway to her Pennock Street home, keeping her from getting inside. The moose wouldn’t leave. Police contacted an Alaska Wildlife Trooper.
A man at 2:12 p.m. made a 911 call of an injured sea otter on Bishop’s Beach. Several people called at 4:04 p.m. reporting an injured sea otter at the beach. Police called the Alaska SeaLife Center.
A caller at 3:44 p.m. reported drivers in cars spinning brodies in a Sterling Highway parking lot. One person had a pistol, the caller said.
A woman at 8:46 p.m. reported her friend’s wallet went missing from a local business.
A caller a 9:45 p.m. reported hearing a gunshot in the Herndon Street area.
A 24-year-old man at 11 p.m. went to the police station and reported a possible domestic dispute at a Kramer Lane home. Police investigated and arrested the 24-year-old man for two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
Feb. 19
A woman at 4:25 p.m. reported someone used her credit card fraudulently. The incident was outside city limits and police referred the woman to the troopers.
A trooper dispatcher from Fairbanks at 5:33 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check at the request of a caller. Police could not find the subject.
A caller at 5:54 p.m. reported a woman in a car parked in the opposite lane on Skyline Drive near West Hill Road. Police responded and arrested a 57-year-old woman for DUI.
A person at 8:07 p.m. made a 911 call of a man and woman fighting outside a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded and separated the parties.
Feb. 20
Police at 8:26 a.m. assisted troopers in serving a warrant at a Spit address
A caller at 3:54 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Bartlett Street address.
A caller at 8:45 p.m. reported concern about an overdue woman.
Police at 9:38 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 23-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway. Police arrested the man for driving while license revoked and issued a summons to another man for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Feb. 21
A woman at 1:14 a.m. made a 911 call that she heard screaming near East End Road. Police responded, contacted a person and gave the person a ride home.
Police at 4 a.m. investigated a report of a possible fire at Bishop’s Beach. They could not find the fire.
A man at 3:13 p.m. reported harassment.
A caller at 8:44 p.m. reported a man wearing dark clothing and walking down the middle of Homer Spit Road. Police contacted the man and advised him to stay to the side of the road.
A man at 11:01 p.m. asked for police help in issuing a trespass notice to a man from a Pioneer Avenue address. Police issued a one-week notice to the man.
Feb. 22
A woman at 2:15 p.m. reported a theft from a Svedlund Street address.
Police at 7:47 p.m. assisted Alaska Department of Fish and Game officials in contacting a person riding a snowmachine through a critical habitat area off Kachemak Drive. Police issued a warning to the driver for snowmachining in a prohibited area.
Feb. 23
Several callers at 2:19 a.m. reported a barking dog disturbing neighbors in the Ocean Drive Loop area. Police could not find the barking dog.
A man at 11:57 a.m. reported a door kicked in at a Pennock Street home.
Police at 2:54 p.m. arrested a 21-year-old woman on a warrant.
Feb. 24
Police at 12:28 a.m. contacted a 20-year-old man at a Pioneer Avenue address and arrested him on a warrant.
A woman at 12:52 a.m. reported an unknown person knocked on her door and tried the handle. Police responded.

Troopers
Feb. 20
Alaska State Troopers at 11:40 a.m. went to a single car crash near Mile 113.4 Seward Highway. Troopers said a 23-year-old Homer man driving south lost control on the ice and hit a guardrail. Both the driver and his passenger wore seatbelts and were not injured. The crash damaged the guardrail and caused more than $500 in damages to the car.
Feb. 23
Troopers at 2:45 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 26-year-old Homer man on the Sterling Highway and Waddell Way. Troopers allege the man possessed methamphetamines and had a mobile meth lab. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. After serving a warrant on the man’s car, investigators with the Alaska Bureau of Investigation seized the lab and evidence. A Drug Enforcement Agency hazardous materials team collected and disposed of hazardous materials from the lab. The road was shut down until 10 p.m.
Feb. 24
Troopers at 4:03 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 41-year-old Anchor Point man in Homer. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked.
