Homer mystery, thriller, fantasy and science fiction writer Dana Stabenow offers a writing workshop with writer Deb Vanasse, “The Pressure is Off: Independent Publishing Options for Writers,” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 14 and 9:30 a.m.-noon May at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. Sponsored by 49 Writers and the Alaska Writers Guild, the workshop is for ages 16 and older. The fee is $105 for 49 Writers and Alaska Writers Guild members and $120 for nonmembers.
