Homer Volunteer Fire Department

July 25-31

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to six Advanced Life Support emergencies, eight Basic Life Support emergencies with three not transported, for a total of 14 EMS related calls. In addition, there was one fire investigation.

Kachemak Emergency Services

July 25-31

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to one medical call and one fire call.

Western Emergency Services

July 25-31

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to eight medical calls and no fire calls.

Homer Police

July 26

Homer Police at 2:01 a.m. conducted a routine traffic stop. As a result a 37-year-old Ninilchik woman was arrested for driving under the influence and was remanded to Homer Jail.

Police at 4:55 p.m.conducted a routine traffic stop. As a result an 18-year-old Soldotna man was arrested for misconduct involving a controlled substance V and misconduct involving a controlled substance VI and taken to Homer Jail.

July 29

Police at 3:27 a.m. responded to a disturbance. As a result a 28-year-old Homer man was arrested for three counts of third-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and two counts of fourth-degree assault. The man was taken to the Homer Jail.

July 30

Police at 6:01 p.m. officers responded to a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. As a result a 47-year-old Homer man was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded to Homer Jail.

Police at 9:10 p.m. officers responded to a REDDI report. As a result a 21-year-old Sterling man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and remanded to Homer Jail.

July 31

Police at 12:16 a.m. an officer conducted a routine traffic stop. As a result a 43-year-old Homer man was arrested for Driving Under the influence and remanded to Homer Jail.

Police at 12:56 a.m. an officer contacted a fugitive from justice. As a result a 43-year-old California man was arrested on an outstanding Santa Barbara County Sheriff warrant for Probation Violation and remanded to Homer Jail.

Police at 2:50 a.m. made a routine traffic stop. As a result a 39-year-old Homer woman was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded to Homer Jail.

Aug. 1

Police at 05:41 a.m. conducted a routine traffic stop and contacted a fugitive from justice. As a result a 23-year-old Kenai man was arrested on an outstanding Chautauqua County, New York, Sheriff’swarrant and remanded to Homer Jail.

Police at 5:30 p.m. served a search warrant on a residence in Homer. As a result a 50-year-old Homer woman was arrested for misconduct involving controlled substances III and misconduct involving weaponsII. She was remanded to Homer Jail. Investigation is ongoing.

Alaska State Troopers

July 27

Alaska State Troopers at 7:59 p.m.responded to a REDDI complaint near the Warehouse in Anchor Point. It was reported a vehicle went into the ditch and nearly hit another vehicle. Investigation revealed a 45-year-old Homer woman was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to Homer Jail, where she was remanded and held without bail.

July 30

At 2:26 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in Kasilof. Investigation revealed the operator of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Anchorage man, was impaired by alcoholic beverages. He was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded at the Wildwood pretrial facility.
