Homer Police

Oct. 12

Homer Police at 9:48 p.m. made a routine traffic stop on a 29-year-old Washington woman and arrested her for driving under the influence. She was taken to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 15

Police at 1:10 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 23-year-old Anchor Point man and arrested him for DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

A third-party custodian at 12:58 p.m. reported a 41-year-old Homer man was out of sight and sound of the custodian. Police arrested the man for violating conditions of release, fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and promoting contraband. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 16

A person at 10:42 a.m. came to the Homer Police Department to report a violation of a protective order. Police arrested a 56-year-old Fairbanks man for violating a domestic violence protective order.

Police at 12:21 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 29-year-old Anchor Point woman. She was arrested for DUI. Police took her to the Homer Jail. Police also arrested a 34-year-old Anchor Point man for criminal trespass and took him to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 17

Polce at 12:29 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 33-year-old Homer man and arrested him for DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 18

A caller at 5:52 p.m. reported a physical altercation between a man and a woman. Police responded and arrested a 38-year-old woman for disorderly conduct. Police also arrested a 69-year-old Homer man on an Alaska State Trooper warrant for failure to appear in court. Both people were taken to the Homer Jail.

Police at 6:21 p.m. received multiple “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaints of a vehicle in a ditch. Police responded and arrested a 57-year-old Homer woman for DUI, fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

Oct. 18

Alaska State Troopers at 2 p.m. contacted a 24-year-old Homer woman in Ninilchik. The woman had an arrest warrant for a probation violation. Troopers said she gave them a false name and resisted arrest. Troopers arrested her on the warrant and for resisting arrest and giving false information. She was taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.

Michael C. Smith, 56, violating a domestic violence protective order, Homer case.
